marshalling report |
Before I give you a report on Marshalling during the past month, I would like to once again express my thanks to you for the respect you have shown me this past year in spite of attempts by a very small minority to do otherwise. I suppose that is the price one has to pay for serving you all these years and being in a position to be shot at. As I have said before, I have a broad back. The fact that you gave me a great vote of confidence is in itself the answer to them. As you now know, I will be relinquishing the post of Complaints Officer due to a Board reshuffle and not because of any failing on my part. I feel that I have served you well in that position and your respect is satisfaction enough for me. I have always believed that if you serve on the Board of Management you have to be willing to undertake whatever you are asked to do and that is what will continue to be my philosophy. |
I will still be responsible for Marshalling, Chairman of JARTA and their
representative at Heathrow, City of London Police Liaison meeting Rep and Building
Facilities Manager. I think that is serving your needs to some degree. Apart from the very
important time we are facing regarding licensing of Private Hire and its implications,
there is also talk of a possible recession which will require the utmost vigilance from
all of your Board. |
busy time for our marshalling activities.
Apart from the regular requirements at Euston and at Canary Wharf, we have had many
requests to supply marshals at various functions and I must say that our marshals have
been excellent and my thanks go out to them. Thanks are also due to you, our drivers, who
have given - quite often under difficult circumstances - good service, be it cash or
credit. I say well done to you all! Aubrey Siteman |
