Whilst my previous incarnations as Taxi Globe’s
Lana Sherif and Mr X were
long ago disposed with when I told myself that both had reached
their natural conclusions and should never be heard of again in
Taxiland, I must tell one story that’s been inside me for a dozen or

wrestling career, he won that battle too and became
clean. Sadly, the years of drug abuse affected his heart and he
recently died at the young age of 37. But the real reason I am mentioning the death of an American wrestler in a taxi magazine is because on the day of our hospital visit, he slipped me £50 to donate to a children’s charity but insisted that no one |

case they thought he was doing it for publicity. So Eddie, wherever you are, I can now tell everyone of your generous deed and to the committee of the LTFUC who were around in the early 90s and wondered how a £50 note got into a collecting tin, now you know! Eddie, viva la raza… Alan Fisher |
