Twenty-four hours earlier and a similar number of hours later, would have seen the beer garden awash as the heavens opened, but on this one day, the heavens smiled and the Brunswick House evening staff took full advantage of the twosome's gourmet delicacies during the lunch breaks, while other staff just popped in to have a nosh and a glass of something before going back to where they had come from!
The usual barbecued fare was on offer with hamburgers wrapped deliciously in wads of

soft fried onions, sausages delicately spiced with tastes of the Orient
(they bought them in Leyton) and delicious chicken wings (we didn't even know
they could fly...). Surrounding the evening was the wonderful aroma of freshly
barbecued food.
All the staff that Call Sign spoke to, said that they had really
enjoyed themselves and were sorry that they couldn't spend their whole shift
there...!
